Scope

'Proposal for a Survey of Tocra in 1966. The proposal contains details of the site, the personnel, transport arrangements, accommodation, and contingencies. The proposed personnel involved are W.W. Anson, Lecturer in Geography at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne; Dr David J. Smith, Keeper and Secretary of the Museum of Antiquities, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and Mrs. D.J. Smith, quartermaster and assistant on excavations in Northumberland. Dr John Hayes, Sir James Knott Fellow in Archaeology, University of Newcastle Upon Tine intends to join the party temporarily.'
