Scope

'Five postcards, two maps and one set of song lyrics. Postcards include two photographs of the monument erected in 1900 on the Plateau de Gergovie marking the victory of Vercing\xe9torix over Julius Caesar in 52 BC, a photograph showing the ruins of the Temple de Mercure from the Puy de D\xf4me, a photograph of the Roman ruins of La Grotte du Chien at Royat (Puy de D\xf4me) and a photograph of Maurice Busset\'s fresco "L\'Assaut de Gergovia" from the Town Hall of Clermont-Ferrand. The maps are entitled "Plan de Gergovia" and "Visigothic Sarcophagi" (in France). The handwritten song lyrics are entitled "Lous Esclops" ("The Wooden Clogs"), being traditional Provencale.'
