Scope

Small inselberg with large rock shelter on S slope, situated on E side of Maknusa close to road, 300m W of 008 inselberg. MAK009 is on outcropping rock at top of small inselberg. Carvings on sloping upper surface.

Arrangement

Cow, indeterminate, incised lines: Crudely pecked outline of a cow facing right with possible phallus, eye, ear, large downward and forward curving horns. Around and superimposed on cow are several recent incised lines, some forming possible Arabic inscriptions. Recent graffiti on surrounding rock surfaces including ITALIA E LIBIA.
