Scope

Large prominent boulder near top at corner of rocky outcrop. Carvings on near vertical surface facing into pass.

Arrangement

Three cows, three giraffes, feline, bovid, two quadrupeds (one ambiguous animal), bird, indeterminate, abstract, grooves, pecking, polishing: On left corner of panel are a number of U-shaped grooves, including three clusters of radiating grooves. Below is crudely pecked outline of an ambiguous animal facing right with long neck and head, upright mane. To the right is deeply incised and smoothed outline of large cow facing right with possible phallus, upward curving horn and additional outward curving horns possibly added later, lines and incisions on body and head, circular eye with elliptical eye added later. Incised lines forming indeterminate oblong shape above back (rider?). Above left are incised lines forming indeterminate shape, possibly a quadruped facing right with small circular head. Between legs of cow are finely incised lines, some forming possible bovid facing right with short upward pointing horn. Below is incised abstract image comprising convoluted lines with radiating grooves. Pecking on and around images. On the right-hand, angled section of the panel is cluster of superimposed images: In the centre is a deeply incised outline of large giraffe facing right with long neck, upward horns or ears, hump on shoulder, long upward curved tail, pecking on hide, groove behind hind legs, U-shaped groove and polishing over tail. Image is superimposed over incised outline of giraffe facing right with shoulder hump, backward pointing horns, pecking on hide, and incised outline of giraffe facing left with long neck, short upward horns, pecking on hide. Head and neck superimposed over incised outline of a bird facing right with long neck and legs; to the right and left are several incised lines, some forming possible images, including outline of a cow facing left and possible head and neck of a giraffe. Above is incised outline of a feline facing right with small rounded ears, lines on body. On the right side of this panel are several incised lines, some forming outline of a cow facing right with short upward pointing horn, groove on body.
