Scope

Arrangement

Grooves, hollows, pecking, polishing: Several sub-circular and ovoid grinding hollows. Arrangement more random except for two consecutive rows on one edge of panel. Different dimensions, depth varies between 1 and 10cm, surfaces abraded with pecking and striations. Peck marks around some hollows. Some hollows cut into each other, suggesting consecutive rather than contemporaneous use. Several hollows have eroded and collapsed bases. Towards panel centre is larger hemispherical hollow, possibly adapted from a groove. At least three U-shaped grooves. Figure 8.19a
