Scope

Large prominent pale boulder on slope of inselberg. Possibly a foggara header stone (numerous foggara heads nearby, especially on N side of inselberg). Carvings on lower portion of sloping upper surface.

Arrangement

Inscriptions, cupmarks, grooves, incised lines: Carvings are concentrated into lower half of panel surface. Towards one edge are two deep circular cupmarks connected by several interlinked U-shaped grooves, some following natural fissures. One cupmark sits on a higher portion of the panel, the other is below it in a natural hollow in which there are other small circular depressions, possibly natural, and an incised Libyan inscription. On the main carved panel area are two long U-shaped wavy grooves running the length of the panel. Between these two grooves are several shorter perpendicular grooves, with short incised lines extending from them. There are several other U-shaped grooves, and short grooves with a series of oblique lines extending from them to form palm frond motifs. Two incised Libyan inscriptions.
