Scope

Large isolated boulder, approximately 4m high, at base of escarpment flank. Close to modern road and construction site. When last visited in 2009 the construction site was encroaching on the boulder. Carvings on three sides. TWE011A carvings on vertical surface facing into wadi.

Arrangement

Human, five bulls, seven cows, bovid, two quadrupeds, bird, indeterminate, pecking: In centre of panel are finely pecked outlines of two large bulls facing each other with heads close together, either side of a fissure. Bull on left, facing right, has lyre-shaped horns, pronounced cervico-thoracic hump, phallus, dewlap, protuberance beneath chin, and pecked patches on hide depicting hide markings. Some pecking around image, including small pecked circles around each foot, and more recent pecked lines over the top. Opposing bull facing left has forward curving horns, enhanced at later date, cervico-thoracic hump, dewlap, phallus, small feet, dense pecking on hide, and possible band around middle. Possible use of rock surface topography to enhance musculature of hind quarters. Pecking below image and chalked graffiti over the top. To the right of this bull are pecked outlines of five cows facing right with lyre-shaped horns, pecked hide markings, and some facial features depicted, slightly superimposed to give impression of a cattle herd. To the right on a slightly recessed part of the panel is the pecked outline of a quadruped facing right with long upward then backward curving horns, large peck marks on body, and small feet. Below the group of cattle is pecked bird facing left with elongated neck and legs, defined feet, and schematic human with elongated body, short arms and legs. Five pecked lines and an arc of five pecked dots superimposed over the bird. To the left of the human is group of three bulls with pecked outlines and a pecked bovid with backward curving horns, all facing right. Upper bull has lyre-shaped horn, middle bull has upward curving horns, lower bull has forward curving horn with second backward curving horn added later to change animal to Barbary sheep. Pecked indeterminate shape over the top of middle bull. On the bottom left corner of the panel is lightly pecked outline of cow facing right with upward and backward curving horns and, above, pecked outline of a cow facing right with upward curving horns, pecking on body, rear end indistinct, and pecked quadruped facing right.
