Scope

Outcropping fragmented bedrock on edge of slope, on small promontory on W side of small LGR embayment, directly opposite pass. Carvings on upper surface. Panel fragmented since carvings were made.

Arrangement

Giraffe, four gazelle, bovid, four nasses, abstract, cupmarks, grooves, hollow, incisions, polishing, pecking: Extensively worked surface with several superimpositions. On outer edge of panel are incised outlines of four gazelles facing right. One has backward pointing horns, one has upward then backward curving horns, one has upward pointing horns, one looking backwards. Some legs very elongated. One gazelle is superimposed over ground grooves and polished area. In centre and SE side of panel are incised outlines of three nasse shapes, all orientated on same axis, with some internal lines and cupmarks, two with long antennae. A possible partial fourth nasse motif is perpendicular to and superimposed over central nasse, and an oblong shape with internal cupmarks in the NW corner of the panel may also be a nasse. Two nasses are superimposed over polished areas, one is superimposed over possible ovoid hollow with striations along long axis. On NW side of panel, to left of oblong motif, is incised outline of giraffe facing right with long neck, head indistinct. In centre of panel, superimposed over several images and polished areas, is pecked outline of a bovid facing left with phallus and short forward curving horn. Pecked cupmark and possible saddle shape in centre of body and pecked line around hind quarters. Pecked cupmarks below and above bovid. Extensive surface pecking and incisions. Figures 6.16a, 7.53b
