Scope

Adjacent to LGR179B. Carvings on upper surface. Possible preparation of surface by smoothing relative to other panels in this area.

Arrangement

Human (therianthrope), cow, giraffe, antelope, two quadrupeds, cupmarks, pecking: At top of panel is incised outline of a giraffe facing left with long neck, raised tail, two legs depicted tapering to points. To the left is incised outline of a cow facing right with forward curving horn, long tail. Below are incised outlines of two quadrupeds facing right. Upper, smaller of these is superimposed over extended dorsal line of lower animal. Cupmark below tail and further cupmarks to left of quadruped. Lower animal has three forelegs, possibly depicting motion. Tail and hind legs exaggerated in length extending to lower portion of panel and superimposed by other carvings. Panel has fractured across legs of this animal since carvings were made. On lower portion of panel below fissure is incised outline of quadruped facing left with slim neck and backward curving horns, probably an antelope (Reedbuck?). Incised line extends from neck of antelope to anthropomorphic figure on left of panel. This figure has human body, exaggerated phallus with two small cupmarks at end, and head of possible insect, with antennae or additional limbs. Incised shape to left of figure is possible insect wing. Pecking around images and later pecking or damage to upper portion of panel. Figure 7.20a&b
