Scope

Boulder immediately adjacent to ELH139A. Carvings on vertical surface.

Arrangement

Elephant, cow, ostrich, indeterminate, cupmarks, grooves, pecking, inscription: In centre of panel is incised outline of elephant facing right with ears, trunk, tusks and bulbous head. Incised grooves below belly and above tusks, pecked cupmark on hind leg. Pecking on body. Pecked indeterminate image to the right of head. Pecked and incised indeterminate images, one a possible horned quadruped, to left of elephant. Below and to left are wide grooves, and a pecked and incised outline of bird facing left with long legs and neck, probably an ostrich. Deep eliptical hollow or groove below elephant. Right of the elephant is incised outline of cow facing right with forward curving horn, two legs, long tail, cupmark behind rear leg, pecking on hide. Seven short incised grooves to right to head. Several fainter pecked and incised lines and surface pecking around animals. Pecked Libyan inscription running vertically down edge of panel. Figure 8.2a
