Scope

As BOU017A. Slab has slipped downwards from original position. Carvings on upper surface.

Arrangement

Gazelle, caprine, cow, quadruped, abstract: Incised arrow- or spear-symbol runs across the top of the slab, pointing right. Below and to the right of the panel is the incised outline of quadruped facing right with one short, backward curving horn and raised tail, possibly a Barbary sheep. bi-ocular, with peck marks on body, some possibly added later. To right is incised outline of small quadruped facing left. Below is incised outline of cow with upward curving horns, bi-ocular, gouged peck marks above back and head similar to those on BOU 017A, incised line or collar round neck, two deeply incised lines below its belly, pecked L-shaped line below its head. On upper left of panel is pecked outline of a long-necked gazelle facing left with forward curving horns, possibly a dibatag. Incised lines to the rear of this animal. Gazelle is perpendicular to the other images and with a lighter patina, suggesting it was carved later. Figure 6.20d
