Scope

Square boulder at base of northern slope of ZIN spur. Numerous carvings on three vertical surfaces. ZIN513A carvings on vertical surface facing W.

Arrangement

Bull, four camels, quadruped, indeterminate, inscription, abstract: In centre of panel is pecked outline of large bull facing left with forward curving horn and phallus, dorsal line partly formed by natural fissure. Series of short incised lines below chin form a fringe. Hide decorated with pecked diagonals forming lozenge shapes. Indistinct lines suggest reworking, and superimposition over earlier images. Below the bull are five outlines of quadrupeds facing right, four incised, one pecked. Four with humps, probably camels. Numerous other lines suggest eroded images, possibly of animals, now indeterminate. In bottom left of panel is incised Libyan inscription and abstract image comprising rhomboid shape enclosing rows of peck marks. Figure 10.15
