Scope

Large panel of outcropping rock forming part of lower cliff on eastern tip of ZIN spur. Carvings on vertical surface.

Arrangement

Five humans, quadruped, bird, inscriptions, abstract, indeterminate, holes: Incised outlines of five human figures with double triangle bodies on left of panel. Three on the left of th epanel have circular heads, one with possible headdress comprised of two pairs of vertical lines, and arms bent and raised. One has long neck and indistinct legs and arms, one has bent knees and raised arms bent at elbows with fingers on one hand depicted, head possibly a deep gouge mark. To the right are two human figure with double triangle bodies and V shaped or curved heads. Left figure has arms out, right figure has one arm out, one arm down. Incised lines, some possibly indeterminate images, around these figures. To the right is a row of at least twelve incised X shapes running across centre of panel, possibly stylised human figures. Incised Libyan and Arabic inscriptions and incised lines above, below and to right of X shapes. On upper portion of panel are incised bird and quadruped facing right. Incised lines forming indeterminate shapes. Numerous deep holes gouged in panel, several of which are arranged horizontally above and vertically to the left of a niche in the rock, may have been used to hold supports for a structure.
