Scope

Large panel of outcropping rock forming part of lower cliff on southern side of ZIN spur. Carvings on vertical and horizontal surfaces within and around small rock shelter with niches (treated as single panel context).

Arrangement

Inscriptions, abstract, cupmarks, grooves, holes: Several incised Libyan inscriptions and characters. Incised abstract images including grid pattern and rectilinear shapes. Numerous ground holes and cupmarks of different dimensions, some in horizontal rows including one row of thirty, some with short incisions at their bases. One large pecked hole close to base of rock face with deep pecked groove extending from base of hole to ground. Grooves of different dimensions, mainly vertical and often paired. Figure 10.29
