Scope

'Series of notebooks containing manuscript notes, drawings, sketches and graphs pertaining to expeditions to North Africa during the 1949 - 1951 period. A majority of the notebooks were completed by Kenyon and Ward Perkins but there are notes present from other members of the expedition party.', The notes relate to a variety of sites and subjects (but primarily Sabratha) including buildings, levels, individual sites, pit notes, pottery, coins and other finds. There are also notes present relating to other aspects of the excavations including medical logs and menus. The series includes a notebook completed by Kenyon which relates to Pompeii pottery and a progress report for Sabratha which is dated 1952 - 1957.'
