'The first notebook in a series of six, it contains 102 photographs which document the journey through the Fezzan following their departure from Zanzur.', Sites depicted within the notebook include (in order of appearance) Ghelan, Garian, Mizda, Wadi Talha, Wadi Zemzem, Gheria Esc [Escarpment? Scerghia, Gheria, Forte Baccon, Gheria El-Garbia, Wadi Tabunyia, the Hamada el Homra, Auenat Uennin and Fezzan.'
