Scope

'Series of black and white photographs taken during a 1972 expedition to Africa, specifically to Libya and Tunisia. The photographs correspond to entries in the photographic notebook "Libya and Tunisia, 1972".', The photographs themselves do not feature any manuscript captions but the index of the photograph notebook refers to a variety of sites. These sites include: Brak, Charaig, Dabdab, Hatiya, Saniat Ben Howedi, Taglit and Zinchecra.', It must be noted that the film number marked on the photograph does not match with the film number marked in the notebook but the concordances are as follows;', AF166 - AF/1', AF167 - AF/2 and AF/3', AF168 - AF/4', AF169 - AF/5', AF170 - AF/6', AF178 - AF/16.', In this particular file, the individual image number also occasionally differs from the number cited in the reference notebook, usually out by one.'
