Scope
'The roll comprises quite a number of drawings and is accompanied by sketches and index cards. The numbering of the drawings/cards leads me to believe they are connected with notes/cards detailed in the Miscellaneous section (D41/3/10). It is possible the drawings relate to Lepcis, as the cards in D41/3/10 include the headings "Severan Monument" and "Forum", and are accompanied by a note dated April 1955 (the start of the "new" excavations at that site). The sketches with this roll on the other hand may be related to D41/3/3/3 (Wadi Gsea pottery), as their style, medium and writing match.'
